Hardness Test Strips
The water hardness test strips measure Total Hardness in the range of 0 to 26 grains per gallon (0-425 parts per million, ppm). Calcium hardness is reported in milligrams per liter calcium (mg/l). Less than 100 mg/l calcium is recommended; otherwise the performance of polymer and Bentonite drill fluids is restricted and delayed. Treat out excess calcium by adding M-BOOSTER® Dry pH Adjuster to the mix water prior to the start of mixing polymers.
